Good for the wallet,
good for the planet
From energy efficient light bulbs to water efficient taps, we’re making it easier for customers to create a good home that’s better for their wallet and the planet.
Take our lighting ranges. We’re switching over to LED — a technology that is long lasting and uses a fraction of the energy of a traditional bulb. Already, 91% of the bulbs we sell are LED - LED product sales were worth over £200 million to our business in 2017/18.
Making water efficiency the easy choice
Saving water is a priority too. Our new kitchen taps, for example, come fitted with a regulator limiting water flow to 8 litres per minute compared with up to 20 litres in our previous ranges.
We know that saving resources at home isn’t always as easy as changing a light bulb. So we’re helping customers tackle more complicated projects. Our energy advisory service in France, for example, has now been launched in 11 stores, helping customers plan their project, book an installer and access subsidies.
Today, our products and services help customers cut their energy use by 32% and improve water efficiency by 45%.
Saving 50% by 2020
Today, our products and services can help customers cut their energy use by 32% and improve water efficiency by 45%. We’re ambitious to go further. In fact, by 2025 we aim to have the products and services in place to help customers achieve a 50% saving.
